FACES UNVEILED:
AN EXPLORATION OF HUMAN COMPLEXITY

Close

Faces Unveiled is a series of five collages exploring the complexity of human identity and challenging the idea that appearance alone defines a person.

Drawing from criminal imagery, intimacy, pleasure and desire, anatomy, drugs and graphic elements, the series constructs layered visual narratives around morality, vulnerability and human behavior.

The first collage, Mugshots, incorporates facial fragments from mugshots of individuals with criminal histories. The remaining works take their titles from criminal offenses: Public Intoxication, Reckless Endangerment, Chemical Endangerment and False Identity. Across the series, the deliberate absence and fragmentation of facial features suggests that identity extends beyond physical appearance.

The work also questions the role of the observer, suggesting that witnesses can become accomplices when they overlook the complexity behind individual actions. Through layered imagery and fragmented identities, Faces Unveiled examines how external influences shape the way people are perceived and understood.
