The Love Project
The Love Project transforms Artuomatic’s tradition of playlist-making into a collaborative art experience. What began as an open call for artists to gather around a shared playlist evolved into a playground to create and connect with feelings through communication.
Built around the central theme The Duality of Love, the project offered conceptual freedom to reflect, interpret and emotionally engage with love in its contrasting forms. The Duality of Love unfolds through two directions:
Romanticizing the Unromantic
An exploration of fantasy, delusion and emotional projection. This direction focuses on the idealized narratives built around love, the beautiful illusions that later feel exaggerated, awkward, or surreal. It reflects how emotion can reshape perception, distort reality and transform ordinary moments into absurd experiences.
What's Left Behind?
A reflection on the traces love leaves behind. Strength, vulnerability and residue become the material. This direction embraces bold, raw and unapologetic interpretations of what remains when the romance fades but the impact lingers.
Creative Approach & Motivation
Participants were encouraged to respond to the themes through personal, authentic artistic practices, embracing individual voice. The project welcomed experimentation, emotional honesty and diverse disciplines, allowing each contributor to engage at their own pace and in their own way.
A group chat and collaborative playlist became the primary meeting points, with music acting as a collective emotional reference and conversation starter. Rather than structured production pipelines, the environment supported spontaneous collaboration, skill-sharing and cross-disciplinary exchange.
Over time, the project naturally shifted away from output-driven expectations toward relational value. Love itself became a form of communication, not only as a subject but as a shared emotional experience. The network evolved into a creative ecosystem where presence, exchange and process carried equal meaning.
The Love Project emerged from a long-standing desire to bring creative minds together. It celebrates making without pressure, connecting without hierarchy and creating space for vulnerability, curiosity and collective energy. At its core, the project values togetherness, openness and the quiet power of creating alongside others.
